Privacy policy
Effective September 25, 2026. This policy covers the festival planners on this website. Use each city’s analytics controls to manage its contribution separately. A previously saved opt-out is respected when first opening the other city. Picks, friend snapshots, analytics identifiers and controls are separate for Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Planner data we collect
For new browser profiles, planner analytics is on by default when you make a plan. We collect selected artist IDs, valid saved attendance windows for published performances (including partial sets), your transfer-buffer setting, and update metadata. These are planning choices, not evidence that you attended or bought a ticket.
A random identifier is saved in this browser. A hashed version is used to group updates and count a browser profile once per artist. This is pseudonymous data, not anonymous data. Different browsers or cleared browser storage can count separately, and one browser may be shared.
Data excluded from planner analytics
Planner analytics does not include your display name, email address, shared-link contents, photographs or location coordinates. The public planner requires no account. Your optional display name and complete personal plan remain in local browser storage unless you choose to share or export them. Shared links and Story images can include that name and your picks; anyone you share them with can see that content.
To operate and protect the website, service providers may process technical information such as IP addresses and security logs. This information is separate from planner analytics.
Shadow Sync friend snapshots
Friend links are decoded on your device. Comparisons and saved friend snapshots stay in this browser and are not uploaded to our servers or included in planner analytics. There is no GPS tracking, live friend presence or background synchronization. If you explicitly add a friend’s artist choice to your own picks, it becomes part of your own plan and follows your analytics preference. Remove saved friends in the Friends tab; clearing site data also removes them. Anyone using this browser profile may see saved snapshots.
How we use your information
Organizers use browser-profile summaries to understand artist interest and planned use of the schedule. Planner analytics records are not published publicly. We do not use planner analytics for cross-site advertising.
Your choices and retention
You can turn off analytics using the controls in each city’s footer without losing your local plan. Existing opt-outs are preserved, and this site honors Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. Older artist-only sharing preferences stay artist-only unless you choose to include the additional planner fields.
Each update replaces the previous snapshot rather than creating a click history. The latest snapshot is retained until you withdraw it or organizers remove it; no automatic expiry is currently configured. Turning analytics off removes the choices, attendance windows and buffer from the analytics record. A hashed identifier without your planning choices is retained to prevent delayed updates from restoring withdrawn data. Backups and technical logs may have separate retention rules.
Withdraw before clearing browser data. Once the identifier is lost, an earlier contribution may no longer be identifiable for removal. Offline removal is queued until you reconnect, so keep this browser data until removal is confirmed. Local plans are not a cross-device backup; shared snapshots do not update automatically and cannot be recalled.
Festival and organizer information: Los Angeles ticket listing and San Francisco ticket listing. This policy may be updated as the planner changes; the effective date above identifies this version.
